The Swift Current 57's suffered their fifth straight loss in a 10-9 setback to the Regina Red Sox on Sunday at Currie Field.

The Red Sox jumped out to a 4-0 lead by the fifth inning before the 57's tied the game with four runs in the seventh inning, and then led 9-4 after five runs in the top of the ninth, but Regina rallied with six runs in the bottom half of the inning to take the victory.

Jose Ayala hit a grand slam for the 57's and Luca Hoerger drove in two runs. Starter Adam Korte struck out six batters and allowed seven hits and three earned runs over four innings of work. Matthew Chandler took the loss in relief, allowing two earned runs and three walks as he pitched the bottom of the ninth. Joshua Castillo was the winning pitcher for Regina.

The 57's (1-5) host the Weyburn Beavers in a doubleheader on Tuesday.
