For the second time today, the Swift Current Fire Department responded to a false alarm for fire.

This time, around 7:30 p.m., fire crews, EMS, and RCMP all responded to a call for fire just off Highway 4. The caller, a woman travelling down the highway, called it in as she believed the WINMAR and Wallace Construction building was ablaze.

"I saw the WINMAR building completely engulfed in smoke," said the anonymous woman. "Then the smoke cleared and it seemed okay."

To clarify, she placed the call before the smoke cleared up.

Crews on the scene were unable to determine an immediate source for any smoke. The initial check of the facility did not reveal any fire, or any other potential source.

Swift Current Online will provide any updates that emerge from any further investigation that are made available.
