In the October 19 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority, they are reporting a total of 66 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 66 new cases, 3 are in the Far North West zone, 3 are in the Far North East zone, 4 are in the North West zone, 17 are in the North Central zone, 1 is in the North East zone, 25 are in the Saskatoon zone, 2 are in the Central West zone, 8 are in the Regina zone, and 1 is in the South West zone.

Two cases have a pending residence location.

Public health investigations are underway to determine the source of transmission for all the new cases. Saskatoon's cases are primarily linked with outbreaks at local bars/nightclubs and additional cases are expected to be reported in the coming days.

The Gospel Worship event in Prince Albert has been connected to 86 first and second generation cases in 17 different communities in the province. Many of the newer cases and outbreaks arising in the North are now third generation cases from this event. Public Health's contact investigation is an estimated 450 contracts.

That brings the total number of provincial cases of COVID-19 to 2,369, of which 398 are considered active.

There are 2 active cases in the South West zone.

There have been a total of 10 recoveries today, bringing that provincial total to 1,973.

There are  18 people in hospital. Sixteen people are receiving inpatient care-7 in the Saskatoon zone, 2 in the Regina zone, 5 in the North Central zone, 1 in the Central East zone, and 1 in the South East zone. There are 2 people in intensive care, one in Saskatoon and one in Regina.

There have been 25 deaths related to COVID-19 reported so far.

To date, 233,017 COVID-19 tests have been done in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 2,288 COVID-19 tests done.
