Levi Bews

New forward Levi Bews starts his Swift Current Broncos career at home tonight against the team that drafted him, the Saskatoon Blades.

Bews is looking forward to playing for a young team in Swift Current that may provide him with a better chance of earning more ice.

“I'll be able to maybe get a little more ice time, some more opportunities on possibly powerplay and penalty kill and just sort of grow with the game and develop mine”

He says he'd like to make a strong first impression with both the fans and the organization.

“I hope to come in here and just work hard, play the systems, and just chip in wherever I can and play whatever role I'm given.”

Bews has scored 17 points in 99 career WHL games, including 56 with Saskatoon.

The Broncos are at home tonight for the first time since acquiring Bews, defenceman Eric Walker and forward Adam Rossignol in three different deals.

Bews and Walker both most recently played for the Vancouver Giants while Rossignol came from the Kootenay Ice.

Game time is 7:05 PM. You can hear the game on The Eagle 94. The pre-game show begins at 6:30 PM.
