A high-energy show by the east coast Celtic rock group Derina Harvey Band at the Living Sky Casino Events Centre wrapped up another exciting concert series for the Swift Current Arts Council on Wednesday night.

The series kicked off in late-August with a pair of sold-out shows by Canadian country star Johnny Reid, and the large crowds continued for the remainder of the season, which included performances from the Barra MacNeils, Twin Flames, Jack Semple, Chris Henderson, and a special show from Valdy on Sunday.

“I think the past season was the most well-received season we’ve had in the last few years,” said Helen Arnold, Administrator for the Arts Council. “People were just starved for that entertainment and to be able to gather once again and enjoy live music once again, and the crowds have responded well to the season.”

The Arts Council unveiled their lineup for the 2023-24 season which includes 10 shows:

  • Sep 26 – Pavlo
  • Oct 22 – Volare Tenors
  • Nov 16 – Leahy
  • Dec 3 – Andrew Allen Christmas
  • Jan 11 – Prairie Debut presents Buzz Brass
