The Swift Current Broncos continue a three-game homestand when they take on the Prince Albert Raiders for the first time this season tonight at Innovationplex.

The Broncos have won three of their last five games, including a 2-1 victory over the Regina Pats on Sunday night.

Tonight's game starts at 7:00pm and you can hear the game on the Eagle 94.1 FM with Redhead Equipment Case IH Broncos Hockey starting at 6:45pm.

In the WHL on Tuesday night, Moose Jaw beat Saskatoon 3-1, Seattle beat Red Deer 5-2 and Wenatchee beat Kamloops 5-2. Tonight's other action has Lethbridge hosting the Thunderbirds, Kelowna entertaining Victoria and Everett hosting Tri-City.

Legionnaires wrap up long road swing tonight

The Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires will finish a season-opening eight-game road trip when they visit the Moose Jaw WINMAR Warriors tonight in the Friendly City.

The Legionnaires are 5-2-0 after the first seven games of the road swing, and will play their home opener on Saturday against the Saskatoon Contacts.

Diamondbacks shock Phillies to set up Fall Classic

Corbin Carroll drove in two runs and scored two of his own as the Arizona Diamondbacks advanced to the World Series for the first time in 22 years with a stunning 4-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies in game 7 of the National League Championship Series on Tuesday night.

Ketel Marte, who has hit two home runs and seven RBI in 12 post-season games, was named the NLCS MVP. 

Arizona, who won the Fall Classic in their only other appearance in 2001, advances to play the Texas Rangers in the World Series, with Game 1 set for Friday night in Arlington.

Three of seven Canadian teams pick up wins on busy Tuesday night in NHL

Auston Matthews and Morgan Riley had three points each and Joseph Woll made 36 saves as the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Washington Capitals 4-1 as part of a full slate of 16 games in the NHL on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Tyler Toffoli had a hat trick in his return to Montreal as the New Jersey Devils beat the Canadiens 5-2, and Ryan Hartman had his own hat trick as the Minnesota Wild whipped the visiting Edmonton Oilers 7-4.

Also, Nils Hoglander scored the game-winner as the Vancouver Canucks wrapped up a five-game road trip with a 3-2 win over the Nashville Predators, Erik Gustaffson had two points in a 3-1 win for the New York Rangers over the Calgary Flames, Jeff Skinner and Tage Thompson had two goals each in Buffalo's 6-4 win over the Ottawa Senators, and Connor Hellebuyck made 18 saves as the Winnipeg Jets doubled up St. Louis 4-2.

New Jersey hosts Washington in the only NHL game tonight.

Nuggets start title defence with win over Lakers

Nikola Jokic had a triple-double as the defending champion Denver Nuggets opened the NBA regular season with a 119-107 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Devin Booker scored 32 points as the Phoenix Suns beat the Golden State Warriors 108-104 in the other game on opening night.

The Toronto Raptors start their season tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Scotiabank Arena.
