The Swift Current Broncos host the Brandon Wheat Kings Saturday night in their only game of the weekend, and they could have a playoff spot locked up by tonight.

The Broncos will clinch if the Calgary Hitmen lose in any fashion to the Red Deer Rebels tonight at the Saddledome, but if Calgary wins, Swift Current can still punch their ticket with at least a point against the Wheat Kings.

The Broncos have won eight of their last nine games heading into Saturday's matchup and with the team set to return to the postseason for the first time since their 2018 championship season, the excitement is building around the community.

"The community is really behind us on this one," said Broncos forward Caleb Wyrostok. "The energy is huge when the crowd gets behind us, and whether they notice it or not, that energy can change a game, so we encourage everybody to come out."

Saturday's game will be the last autograph session of the season and the players will be on hand following the game to sign autographs for fans.

Face-off is at 7:00 p.m. from Innovationplex with Redhead Equipment Case IH Broncos Hockey on Country 94.1 starting at 6:45.
