The Swift Current Broncos took sole possession of first place in the WHL's Central Division after a 4-2 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders on Tuesday night at Art Hauser Centre.

Peyton Kettles opened the scoring for the Broncos at 6:54 of the first period with Conor Geekie getting an assist to extend his point streak to 11 games. After Ryder Ritchie tied the game with 4:28 left in the opening frame, Geekie picked up his team-leading 38th goal of the season on the power play to put the Broncos up 2-1 7:22 into the second period. Luke Mistelbacher added his 19th of the year with 2:10 left to help the Broncos take a 3-1 lead after 40 minutes. Niall Crocker cut the Raiders' deficit to 3-2 at the 6:25 mark of the third period before Geekie capped off a four-point night with an empty-netter in the final minute of the game.

Clarke Caswell and Connor Hvidston added two assists each and Reid Dyck made 27 saves as the Raiders outshot Swift Current 29-26. The Broncos were 1-for-2 on the man advantage while the Raiders came up empty on two power play opportunities.

The Broncos (36-20-4-2, 78 pts.) are one point ahead of the Medicine Hat Tigers for the Central Division lead with two games in hand as the two teams get set for a key home-and-home series on Friday at Innovationplex and Saturday at Co-op Place.
