The Swift Current Broncos will make the short trip east on the Trans-Canada Highway to Moose Jaw to face the Warriors tonight.

It's the first regular season meeting between the two teams this season, and the first of back-to-back games between the Broncos and Warriors in the Friendly City. The two teams will play again on Tuesday before the Broncos return home on Wednesday to face the Medicine Hat Tigers.

Tonight's game starts at 7:00pm and you can hear it live on Country 94.1 FM with Redhead Equipment Case IH Broncos Hockey starting at 6:45pm.

Other games in the WHL tonight have Regina visiting Edmonton, Saskatoon heading to Seattle, Red Deer hosting Brandon, and Prince George entertaining Lethbridge.

Legionnaires and Wildcats in weekend action

The Home Hardware Legionnaires, coming off an overtime win over the Notre Dame Hounds, will head east to Yorkton to face the Maulers for two games this weekend, while the Innovation Federal Credit Union Wildcats welcome the Prince Albert Northern Bears in their only game of the weekend on Saturday at 7:30pm from S3 Arenas.

In AA hockey, the Southwest Sports Excellence U18 Broncos have just one game this weekend in Estevan on Sunday, but the Pure Chem U15 Broncos have a three-game road swing in Saskatoon and Martensville, and the Graphic Edge U15 Wildcats welcome the Warman Wildcats on Sunday at 6:15pm from S3 Arenas.

Also, the Colts Classic female hockey tournament is happening all weekend at both S3 Arenas and Innovationplex with U11, U13 and U15 teams taking part. As with any minor hockey tournament there will be prize raffles and 50/50 draws through the weekend, but the proceeds from the opening day's 50/50 draw will go to the family of Rustyn Paul, a young girl in Swift Current who is battling leukemia. Tickets will be available at S3 Arenas and the draw will be made there tonight.

Busy Black Friday in the NHL

After a night off for US Thanksgiving, the NHL is back on the ice with 15 games and all seven Canadian teams in action. 

The Toronto Maple Leafs visit the Chicago Blackhawks in one of eight matinees this afternoon. Also, the Edmonton Oilers visit the Washington Capitals and the Montreal Canadiens continue their west coast swing in San Jose against the reeling Sharks. 

Later tonight, Ottawa hosts the New York Islanders, Winnipeg visits Florida, Calgary heads to Dallas and Vancouver visits Seattle. 

Packers, Cowboys and Niners win NFL Turkey Day matchups

Christian McCaffrey had two touchdowns in the first half as the San Francisco 49ers rolled to a 31-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks to wrap up a Thanksgiving tripleheader in the NFL.

Also, Dak Prescott threw four TD passes as the Dallas Cowboys routed the Washington Commanders 45-10, and Jordan Love had threw touchdown passes, including a 53-yard strike to Christian Watson on the very first snap of the game, as the Green Bay Packers beat the Detroit Lions 29-22.

A rare Friday afternoon NFL matchup today has the New York Jets hosting the Miami Dolphins.

Rush host Roughnecks in pre-season tilt in Moose Jaw

The Saskatchewan Rush will host the Calgary Roughnecks in NLL pre-season action on Saturday in Moose Jaw.

A near-capacity crowd is expected at the Moose Jaw Events Centre for the first-ever NLL game in southern Saskatchewan, with only a handful of tickets left for the game.

The Rush start the regular season in Halifax next Friday and their home opener against Rochester is on December 9 in Saskatoon.
