In today's July 15 daily COVID-19 update The Saskatchewan Health Authority is reporting a total of five new cases of the virus in the province.

Three of the new cases are in the Central Region, one is in the Saskatoon Region, and one is in the South Region,

This brings the provincial total of persons with COVID-19 to 881, with 75 of those cases considered active.

The number of active cases in the South remains at 18.

Today the SHA has announced six more recoveries, which brings that provincial total to 791.

The number of COVID-19 deaths remain at 15.

There are eight people in hospital in the province. Six are receiving inpatient care-five in Saskatoon and one in the South-and two people are in intensive care-one in Saskatoon and one in the South.

To date, 76,694 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.

Residents across the province are reminded to follow the public health measures and personal safety precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
