As the crisis in the Middle East continues, a number of Saskatchewan Credit Unions have taken steps to assist the Red Cross in their relief efforts.

Daryl Silzer, Manager of Financial Development with the Canadian Red Cross, says that residents can go to their local Credit Unions, go online, or go to a local Red Cross office to make donations.

The International Committee of the Red Cross has issued an appeal for $92 million to help provide innocent civilians in Lebanon with food, shelter, first aid, and medical supplies.

Saskatchewan residents wishing to help can visit their local credit union, or make a donation online at http://www.redcross.ca/ by August 31st.
