Some railway tracks in Swift Current are getting a face lift.

The crossing at Highway # 4 between south railway street east and chaplin street east is being worked on by the CPR starting on Sunday at 10 P.M., and ending Wednesday at 6:00 P.M.

Joanne Dickie, Area Office Coordinator says the tracks are being ripped up for a good reason.

"You know the crossing with the time, it wears down and stuff, and they're going to replace the rails and we'll do some patching also."

There will be a detour in place so residents should prepare themselves for extra time on the road.
