The Saskatchewan Health Authority's daily COVID-19 update for July 9 is reporting a total of five new cases of the virus in the province.

Two of the new cases are in the South, one is in the Saskatoon Region, one is in the Far North and one is in the Central Region.

This brings the provincial total number of cases to 813, of which 48 are considered active.

Currently in the South Region there are seven active cases.

The SHA is reporting four more recoveries today, bringing that provincial total to 750.

COVID-19 deaths to date sit at 15.

There are five people in hospital. Two individuals are receiving inpatient care in the North and two in Saskatoon. One person is in intensive care in Saskatoon.

To date, 71,757 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.
