A routine traffic stop by Gravelbourg RCMP has netted them a serious arrest.

A few days ago, on January 29, Gravelbourg RCMP stopped a vehicle on Highway 13 for a routine check.

As it would turn out, the driver of the vehicle turned out to be warranted by the Weyburn Police Service. Further investigation found and secured 3.2 grams of an unknown substance, believed to be methamphetamine, a sawed-off rifle, and various other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

As a result, 42-year-old Jon Campbell from Assiniboia is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon/firearm, as well as several counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.

He is set to appear in Moose Jaw Provincial Court today.
