With fall comes the SWAC football in Gull Lake as the Lions prepare for the season ahead.

The Lions hope to be much improved over last year in what will be a competitive league.

Lions Head Coach, Neil Boutin, says the guys began working hard on their own before practice began a week ago.

He says defensively, they should be much improved with several grade 11's who have a full year of experience under their belts.  Offensively, Boutin says they still have some question marks remaining.

Boutin expects Shaunavon to be the early favorite in the SWAC 9-Man league.

Gull Lake opens the regular season September, 12th when they battle Assiniboia.
