We're checking in with our friends in Medicine Hat, Alberta, to talk about the fun things to see and do in Canada's sunniest city with Hat Highlights, presented by Tourism Medicine Hat, Comfort Inn & Suites Medicine Hat, and Medicine Hat Lodge.

Quonset Days on Friday and Saturday features live music and fundraising at Seven Persons, just a short drive southwest of Medicine Hat on the Crowsnest Highway. The event started as a tribute to Peter Biemans, a beloved local resident who passed away in 2009 after battling ALS, and 100 per cent of the proceeds from the festival are donated to the ALS Society of Alberta to help those living with the disease and support research toward finding a cure. This year's lineup includes Canadian country music stars, and Alberta's own, George Canyon and Brett Kissel, along with other great musicians, plus food trucks, beer gardens and the famous "Quonset Dog".

Also, Colin talks about some other fun things to do in Medicine Hat this week including a tour of the city's downtown bakeries, and the Great Big Pedal at Kin Coulee Park on Thursday night.
