She was bestowed will one of the greatest honours a Canadian citizen can receive, and today, her role of Lieutenant Governor comes to an end.
Dr. Lynda Haverstock represented the Queen for six years in Saskatchewan, and had the priveledge of hosting her majesty during last year's Centennial.
Today, Sakatchewan extends it's gratitude to Dr. Lynda Haverstock for her six-year term as Lieutenant Governor.
This afternoon in Regina, between 1 and 4 p.m. a public reception will be held on the grounds of Government House to say fond farewells.
Haverstock says that she will carry many fond memories of her years as Lieutenant Governor, as she now prepares to move on.
On Monday, historian Gordon Barhart will be sworn-in as the province's next Lieutenant Governor.
