HIV and AIDS infected almost 2,500 Canadians in 2005 alone. 

 

Our newsroom caught up with Christine Smith, Executive Director for AIDS Programs South Saskatchewan in Regina. She says in this day and age our attitudes towards the disease need to change.

She adds they try to help a variety of victims, all the while trying to mandate school education.

Between 1985 and 2003, 601 people in Saskatchewan have tested positive for HIV.
