Ontario's Rachel Homan capped off an incredible run at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts with a thrilling 5-4 win over Manitoba's Jennifer Jones in Sunday's final at Calgary's Winsport Arena.

Homan won her fourth Scotties title, her first since 2017, and went unbeaten in the event with an 11-0 record while denying Jones a chance to capture her seventh title in what was her final appearance in the Canadian women's curling championship.

Homan, Tracy Fleury, Emma Miskew and Sarah Wilkes will represent Canada at next month's World Women's Curling Championship in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

The Montana's Brier will kick off on Friday in Regina.

Mixed results for AA Wildcats in playoffs

Laynee Rondeau scored 8:34 into the first period and that would stand up as the game-winner and the game's only goal as the Graphic Edge U15 AA Wildcats picked up a 1-0 win over Regina Rebels Black in game one of a best-of-three first-round playoff series Sunday at S3 Arenas. Ryann Erickson stopped all 28 shots she faced for the shutout. Game two of the series is in Regina on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the WW Smith U13 Wildcats dropped their playoff opener with a 2-1 loss to the Southeast Gold Wings on Saturday in Estevan. The Wildcats host a must-win game two on Saturday at S3 Arenas.

In other AA hockey, the Southwest Sports Excellence U18 Broncos picked up two overtime wins over the Moose Jaw Warriors, 6-5 on Saturday and 4-3 on Sunday. The Pure Chem U15 Broncos swept the weekend with a 4-1 win over the Regina Pat Blues and a 7-1 victory over the West Central Wheat Kings, and the SWT U13 Broncos swept a three-game road swing with an 8-1 win over the Regina Mustangs, an 11-1 victory over the Yorkton Terriers and a 9-5 win over the Melville Millionaires.

In junior female hockey, the Southwest CMX Impact were blanked 14-0 by the Saskatoon Prairie Blaze in their last home game of the season on Saturday in Gull Lake.

Provincial playoff hockey had Swift Current beating Martensville 5-1 in game one of a best-of-three U18 A series, with game two set for Friday in Martensville. In senior C, the Kyle Elks moved on to the south final with a 7-3 home win over the Davidson Cyclones on Saturday to complete a two-game sweep. The Elks will face the Carnduff Red Devils with game one set for Saturday in Carnduff.

Jets beat Coyotes in OT for third-straight win

Kyle Connor scored 33 seconds into overtime to give the Winnipeg Jets a 4-3 win over the Arizona Coyotes to extend their winning streak to three games, while extending the Coyotes' losing skid to 12.

There are four games in the NHL tonight with Washington hosting Ottawa and Edmonton welcoming the Los Angeles Kings.

Rush routed by T-Birds at home

The Saskatchewan Rush dropped a 19-6 decision to the Halifax Thunderbirds in NLL action on Saturday at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon. Clark Walter had two goals for the Rush, who visit the Colorado Mammoth on Saturday.
