The Southwest Impact tallied their first goals in the Saskatchewan Junior Female Hockey League as they wrapped up the league's inaugural weekend with a 3-2 loss to the Lumsden Lynx on Sunday at S3 Arenas.

Kaleigh Tress and Hannah Sexsmith gave the Lynx a 2-0 lead by the midway mark of the second period, then Kaleigh Keith scored the Impact's first-ever goal at 12:34 of the middle frame to put the home team on the board. Morgan Bailey tied the game up for the Impact with 3:54 left in regulation, but Sexsmith scored her second of the game less than a minute later while shorthanded to give the Lynx the lead, and that goal would hold up to be the game-winner. Anna Hartnell made 34 saves for the Impact as Lumsden outshot the Southwest team 37-12.

The Impact (0-2) head to Regina to face the Junior Rebels in their next game on October 28.
