The Swift Current Indians have defeated the Regina Red Sox to advance to the championship.

The big bats finally came alive for the Tribe who churned out 24 runs combined in games three and four in Regina to take the series in four games.

The deciding game was a 11-3 final.  The Tribe scored seven runs in the 9th to put the game and the series out of reach.

Veteran, Kelly Horaska, was on his game both nights.  He had 8 hits in the final two games of the series to lead the way.

Pitching continues to be the Indians' strength as they surrendered only 9 runs in the series.

The Tribe is now 6-1 in the playoffs.  Their only loss came in game one of the series with Regina.  The Red Sox undoing may have been their celebration after the game one victory.  Their "world series winning" reaction after a well played game seem to only motivate the Tribe.

The Indians host Lethbridge in game one of the WMBL Championship series Wednesday night at Mitchell Field.  The series features the top two teams during the regular season.
