The Swift Current Innovation Credit Union Female AAA Wildcats registered a two-win weekend at home to stay atop the Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League's standings.

Saturday

A late third-period goal by the Wildcats was just enough to squeeze past the Saskatoon Stars Saturday night 3-2.

Swift Current forward Jerzey Watteyne had the goal with 2:14 left in the game. The other two Wildcats markers came from Cydny Price and Amiyah Jones.

Karlee Lehner was solid in the Swift Current net stopping 29 shots improving to 4-1 on the season.

Sunday

Three goals in the game's final seven minutes propelled Swift Current to its second straight victory over the Saskatoon Stars on Sunday 4-1.

Defenceman Taylre Becker and Caitlyn Perlinger each had goals and so did forwards Sadie Keller and Watteyne. 

Goalie Paige Fischer was outstanding in net turning aside 38 shots.

Swift Current is now 8-3 on the year and sits first in the seven-team league.

The Wildcats are off from league play until November 19 when they'll travel to Wilcox to play the Notre Dame Hounds.
