The Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires knocked off the first-place Saskatoon Blazers 4-2 on Saturday night at InnovationPlex.

Swift Current jumped out to a 2-0 lead on first period goals from Hudson Darby and Cobe Perlinger, then Tyson Yaremko put Saskatoon on the board with 4:07 left in the opening frame. Eric Hoiness scored on the power play 4:03 into the second to put the Legionnaires up 3-1 before Josh Knittig cut the Blazers' deficit midway through. The 3-2 score held up through the next 30 minutes until Rylan Williams scored an empty-netter with 28 seconds left to finish the scoring.

Berney Weston made 32 saves in the victory as the Blazers outshot Swift Current 34-31.

The Legionnaires (21-9-0-2) host the Blazers again Sunday afternoon at 1:45pm from InnovationPlex.
