The Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires fell 6-3 to the league-leading Saskatoon Blazers in the only game of the weekend on Sunday in the Bridge City.

Cobe Perlinger opened the scoring for the Legionnaires 4:05 into the game, but the Blazers scored three unanswered goals to start the second period from Preston Baerwald, Trae Lees and Luke Dahlen. Hudson Darby scored on the power play with 40 seconds left in the middle frame to cut the deficit to 3-2, but Lees, Corban Alman and Cole Reschny responded with three consecutive goals in the third period. Cam Perlinger scored on a penalty shot for the Legionnaires to wrap up the scoring.

Berney Weston made 29 saves as Saskatoon outshot Swift Current 35-24.

The Legionnaires (20-9-0-2) will face the Blazers again this Saturday and Sunday from InnovationPlex.
