The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires will be taking part in the prestigious Circle K Classic in Calgary for the fifth time in the last six seasons.

The Legionnaires, who sit third in the SMAAAHL standings with a record of 11-4-2 after 17 games, will join the Prince Albert Mintos and Warman Wildcats as the three Saskatchewan teams at the 32-team event, which includes top U18 AAA programs from Alberta and BC, as well as school hockey programs and international teams from the US and Europe. The event, which had been known as the Mac's Tournament since 1978, was renamed the Circle K Classic in 2022.

Swift Current finished 1-3 at last year's tournament.

The pools and schedule will be announced in early December with the tournament taking place from December 27 to January 1.

The Legionnaires will host the Notre Dame Hounds in league play Tuesday night at 8:15pm from Innovationplex.
