The Swift Current Kinettes Club has received some high accolades recently, honouring both the Club and a pair of members.

These three awards all come from the Sask. Kinettes Clubs voting on together. This year saw 50 nominations on the 18 awards, which makes the triple win for Swift Current all the more special.

The Swift Current Kinettes won the Educate Award, in recognition of the club's effort to bring education into the club itself, as well as the rest of their provincial efforts.

Both Swift Current Kinettes Incoming President, Tracy Prang, and Swift Current Kinettes Treasurer, Lisa Fehr, won the Kin of the Year for Zone F.

"It was really an awesome thing to have two people in the same club get the same award," said Prang. "We both had some pretty big years this year."

Prang highlighted Fehr for her work helping all the clubs with all of their district matters, as well as helping the Kinettes Governor with their responsibilities provincially.

"She is our treasurer and then she was a deputy governor for the district," noted Prang.

With these awards arriving just before the Kinettes summer break, Prang is excited for the big final meet-up on June 22 for the Kinettes.

"We already have over 150 applications that will be doing so," said Prang. "Then we have a big wind-up coming in the beginning of July at the lake."

Throughout the year, the Swift Current Kinettes make it a mission to not only support local but to do it in a big way. Whether that's been through fundraising for The Center, or by getting involved with the Swift Current Broncos during the on-season, they always try to brighten the community.
