Two Swift Current residents were recently arrested in relation to several break and enters.

According to a media release from the Swift Current City RCMP, a report of theft from a motor vehicle on Valley Point Way came in just before 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

Investigation and public assistance led officers to a dwelling on South Service Road East, where they arrested 27-year-old Donny Gurney and 19-year-old Kylie Beattie.

Donny Gurney has been remanded into custody and is facing four charges including fraud under $5000, possession of a weapon while prohibited, possession of property obtained by crime, and fail to comply with an undertaking.

Kylie Beattie was released and is facing one charge of possession of property obtained by crime.

A search warrant was obtained for the property, and officers found stolen property from several recent break and enters and theft investigations.

They also recovered several items police believe to be stolen but were not reported.
