Update written 1:52 p.m.

Swift Current Fire Department's Fire Chief Ryan Hunter said another fire occurred yesterday, in the roof of a business on North Service Road East. 

Crews arrived on scene and found that contractors who had been working on the roof already extinguished the flames. 

He added that firefighters checked to make sure the fire was out and cooled down before they left. No injuries were reported at this incident.

A fire broke out on Oman Drive yesterday morning at 10:16 a.m., involving mechanical equipment.

A recent media release from the Swift Current Fire Department stated that seven personal and three vehicles attended the scene. 

Firefighters found a piece of filtration equipment showing smoke and flames. They initiated fire suppression and removed burning items from within the machinery. 

No injuries were reported on this call.

The matter is still under investigation.
