In the October 21 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority, they are reporting a total of 57 new cases in the province.

Of those 57 new cases, there is 1 in the Far North East zone, 1 in the North West zone, 17 in the North Central zone, 4 in the North East zone, 14 in the Saskatoon zone, 2 in the Central West zone, 7 in the Central East zone, and 11 in the Regina zone.

Public Health investigations are underway to determine the source of transmission for all new cases. Saskatoon's new cases continue to be primarily linked with outbreaks at local nightclubs.

That brings the provincial total number of COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan to 2,496, of which 469 are considered active.

There are currently 2 active cases in the South West zone.

There are 15 recoveries reported today, bringing that provincial total to 2,002.

There are 17 people in hospital. Fifteen people are receiving inpatient care-7 in the Saskatoon zone, 2 in the Regina zone, 5 in the North Central zone, and 1 in the Central East zone.

Currently, there are 2 people in intensive care - 1 in Saskatoon and 1 in Regina.

There have been 25 deaths related to COVID-19 in the province.

To date, 238,013 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 2,483 COVID-19 tests done.
