The province is down to its lowest active case total of COVID-19 in nearly a month, after a decrease of six in the Saskatchewan Health Authority's Monday update.

The SHA's latest daily update announced two new confirmed cases and eight more recoveries. One of the new cases is in the Far North region, with the other in the North region.

The drop of a half-dozen active cases puts the current total at 81 - the lowest since that figure stood at 70 on April 28.

One active case remains in the South region.

There have now been 546 recoveries and 634 total reported cases so far.

A half dozen residents are also currently in hospital. Four of the cases are in the ICU in Saskatoon, with one receiving inpatient care in both the Regina and North regions.
