The next step in Saskatchewan reopening plans begins on Monday, as Phase 4.1 gets underway.

This first part of phase 4 includes a number of outdoor activities that were hinted at last week:

  • Children and youth day camps;
  • Outdoor pools and splash pads;
  • Outdoor sports and activities.

They caution, however, that some of those facilities will remain closed by the choice of the municipalities involved and encourage residents to reach out to their municipal services for up-to-date information.

The second part of phase 4 has not been announced yet, but will include indoor pools, rinks, libraries, museums galleries, movie theatres, casinos and bingo halls.

Much of the restrictions and recommendations have remained the same going into phase 4 except for indoor gatherings moving up to 30 people allowed if the space allows for 2 metre separation between participants.

Outdoor gatherings remain at 30 participants except, as mentioned previously, in the case of outdoor graduation ceremonies, celebrations, which are allowed up to 150 in separate cohorts of 30 people each. Worship services are allowed that same courtesy indoors.

Swift Current Online will have more on the Phase 4 opening and Swift Current municipal plans as they become available.
