Conditions are improving at the Bentley.

Last week, they asked the public to refrain from visiting the private retirement home when several residents experienced flu-like symptoms.

Currently, it's estimated that around 20% of the 100 residents living in the community have exhibited symptoms of the flu, which includes vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea.

Visiting hours have resumed, but the public is being asked to use common sense as the facility still deals with this illness.

Glen Hanke is the general manager for The Bentley, and asks that unnecessary visits are kept to a minimum to prevent further spreading. Community Health is continuing to analyze a sample of the virus for identification.
