The sidewalks of downtown Swift Current will be busy today as a portion of southwest teachers gather during the first rotation of recently announced strikes. 

Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation members from seven associations will take part in today's job action, involving approximately 3,000 teachers and affecting classes for approximately 35,000 students.

Members of the Holy Trinity Teachers Association will be outside of MLA Everett Hindley's office between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. today. 

Classes are expected to resume tomorrow as usual.
