Grasslands Gallery Online curated a collection of artwork from Regina artist, Ernie Klinger, to exhibit at With Love Collective and Made Cafe in Swift Current, where an Artist Talk is coming up in two days.

The exhibit, titled 'Abstracted', has been on display for the past couple of weeks and the Artist Talk is set for Saturday, June 1 in conjunction with Saskatchewan Art Gallery Day.

Laureen Marchand, owner and curator of Grasslands Gallery Online, encourages people to stop by for a cup of coffee and to hear about the inside scoop and inspiration behind Klinger's art.

"It's an informal gathering with a chance to meet an artist who lives out of town, he's really pleasant," said Marchand. "It's a good opportunity to make the acquaintance of the art and the artist."

She notes that Klinger's artwork is not only abstract, as its name suggests, but unique and profoundly thought-provoking.

"They're more visual thoughts about something you might see in the environment or something you might imagine," she added. "His landscape pieces especially look like something we've all seen as we've driven down the highway and then we think; what was that, there's something about that quantity that's unexpected,

"But you're already down the highway and you don't go back, so they have that kind of imaginary quality."

Anyone interested can stop by With Love Collective from 2 - 4 p.m. this Saturday.
