A total of 75 residents in the province currently have COVID-19, the Sask Health Authority announced in their daily update on Friday.

The SHA announced nine more recoveries compared to two new cases – one confirmed and one presumptive, leading to the drop in seven active cases.

Including the presumptive case, 307 people now have contracted the virus in Saskatchewan, while 228 have now recovered overall.

The south region of the province is again home to two active cases, having had 15 overall reported cases since April 5.

Six people are now in hospital due to the virus – five are receiving inpatient care, with the sixth in ICU.

The age ranges have also been changed by the SHA:

  • <19 years old – 23 cases,
  • 20-39 y/o – 110 cases,
  • 40-59 y/o – 105 cases,
  • 60-79 y/o – 62 cases,
  • 80+ y/o – seven cases.

29 of the 307 reported cases remain without a known exposure, while 16 are still under investigation.

There have now been 22,207 tests for the virus performed around Saskatchewan.
