Kelly Knapp and his rink from the Highland in Regina evened up their record at the Tim Hortons Brier with a 9-3 win over Nunavut Monday night in London, Ontario.

Saskatchewan went off to a flying start with three in the first end and scored three more in the third after forcing Jake Higgs to a single in the second. After a blank in the fourth and a deuce for Nunavut in the fifth end, Knapp scored singles in the next three ends to wrap up their second victory and move to a 2-2 record in Pool A.

Saskatchewan will face Matthew Manuel and Team Nova Scotia in their next game this afternoon.

Toffoli scores buzzer-beater to lift Flames over Stars

Tyler Toffoli scored the game winner with 6.2 seconds left in regulation as the Calgary Flames beat Dallas 5-4 for their first win in six games. Calgary is now five points back of Colorado for the last wild card spot in the NHL's Western Conference. 

In other action, Connor McDavid scored twice, and former Bronco Stuart Skinner made 37 saves as Edmonton beat Buffalo 3-2, and Elias Pettersson scored the shootout winner as Vancouver beat Nashville 4-3. Also, Logan Couture scored the OT winner as San Jose beat Winnipeg 3-2 to snap a five-game losing streak, while Chicago blanked Ottawa 5-0 to snap a four-game slide of their own.

Three Canadian teams are in action tonight with the Flames visiting Minnesota, the Leafs visiting the Devils, and the Habs hosting the Hurricanes.

In the WHL, the Medicine Hat Tigers travel to Winnipeg to take on the ICE. The Tigers are two points up on the Swift Current Broncos for seventh in the Eastern Conference standings. Elsewhere, Prince Albert hosts Brandon and Seattle welcomes Kamloops. The Broncos visit Saskatoon on Wednesday night.

Nuggets rally to beat Raptors

Kitchener, Ontario's Jamal Murray scored 24 points and the Western Conference-leading Denver Nuggets scored the final six points of the game to come away with a 118-113 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Monday. Fred VanVleet had 21 points for the Raptors, who fall to 1-2 on their five-game road trip which continues Wednesday night against the LA Clippers.
