The new inclusive park on Swift Current's south side could be joined by a giant tower.

SaskTel is looking at building a 149-foot monopole at 440 Central Avenue South, the same site the Plewis Automotive Group Inclusive Park sits on.

The Crown Corporation is currently in the public consultation phase that's mandated by the federal government.

Following the consultation, they will then turn to the City of Swift Current for further planning.

"A new cell tower is required in this part of the city to address coverage gaps and ensure our customers in Swift Current can take full advantage of the connectivity delivered by our 4G and 5G wireless networks," an email from SaskTel said.
