GrowHER, an event geared towards rural women to help center them and embrace their authentic selves will be coming soon to Swift Current for the very first time.

The Living Sky Casino will host the semi-formal event on Saturday, May 25,  from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m, featuring two Sask. female speakers.

Ashley Hann, women's life and business coach, founded the GrowHER women's event and is eagerly looking forward to speaking alongside Darci Lang, a motivational speaker and the author of 'Embrace the 90%'.

"It's going to be a jam-packed morning of personal development but also a little bit of fun too," said Hann. "We just really wanted to put together an event that gave us the opportunity to connect women to come and individually take incredible tools, incredible insights, and have incredible breakthroughs throughout the morning."

She notes that they aim to set new standards, empower Southwest women, provide resources, and foster authenticity and connection.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and the seminar-style event will include brunch, a mimosa bar donated by Prairie Centre Credit Union, gift bags, and a copy of Lang's book.

"Women are really, truly the backbones of our communities, our families, our organizations, and it's just so easy to become disconnected from the woman in the mirror when we're juggling so many hats," she said.

Tickets are $110 per person or $800 for a table of eight and a portion of the proceeds are set to go to local non-profit, Southwest Crisis Services.

"It was really important for us, in bringing this event to Swift Current and uniting women within the community, that we give back to the community as well," Hann concluded.

Anyone interested can visit www.growher.ca or email ashley@ashleyhann.co to book a table for eight, and limited tickets are available.
