Environment Canada has issued a special air quality statement  for the Southwest.

High levels of air pollution have developed due to smoke from forest fires in B.C. Smoke plumes moving over portions of southern Saskatchewan from these fires have resulted in deteriorated air quality in the area.

Individuals may experience symptoms such as increased coughing, throat irritation, headaches, or shortness of breath.

Children, seniors and those with cardiovascular or lung disease, such as asthma are especially at risk.

Keep listening to local weather broadcasts for updated information from Environment Canada.
