Indefinite province-wide sanctions begin today for members of the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation.

For the southwest this includes a restricted workday, withdrawal of voluntary services outside of the restricted workday, complete withdrawal of extracurricular services and withdrawal of student-lunch supervision.

An announcement from Chinook School Division assures that all classes and curricular school activities will continue as scheduled and classroom learning will not be disrupted.

Non-bus students are asked to not arrive any earlier than 15 minutes prior to the start of the school day and leave no later than 15 minutes after. Arrangements have been made for Division and support staff to provide bus supervision for the early arrivals that occur at a few Chinook schools.

All extracurricular activities will be cancelled in Chinook schools until further notice including sports, clubs, non-curricular band and music, and drama events.

Graduation ceremonies and activities that are supported by school administrators and teachers are planned to proceed, occurring within the school day.
