Children throughout Swift Current have found adventure all through the summer at the Swift Current Library.

The 2006 Summer Reading Program, "Quest for Heroes" was a huge success, drawing over a thousand people throughout the summer.  Librarian Manisha Khetarpal explains that the goal of the program was to get kids to read for 15 minutes a day.

Parents have been thrilled with the results as well, saying that their kids looked forward to the events and they enjoying reading together even more now.

Over 1000 people attended the shows put on by the library, and a total of just over 4700 books were read.

There are many events continuing in September and October as well.  For more information, contact the library.
