We're still in the middle of January, but baseball season is getting closer. The two-time defending WMBL Champion Swift Current 57's are getting set to take to Mitchell Field again in May, and they are also getting ready for one of their biggest fundraisers of the year, the annual Field of Dreams Dinner on February 24.

The dinner has hosted a number of legendary athletes including Geroy Simon, Jacques Demers, "Pinball" Clemons and Henry Burris in recent years, and this year, two of the greatest Toronto Blue Jays players of all time will be coming to Swift Current... Jesse Barfield, who was a key part of the Jays' outfield for their 1985 AL East Championship, will be joined by his teammate at first base, Willie Upshaw, for the dinner at the Legion Hall.

Brad Woods, the chairman of the Field of Dreams Committee, joined Colin on the Redhead Equipment Magic Morning Show to talk about the event.

Tickets for the dinner are available for $80 each or $600 for a table of eight, and you can get them by calling Brad at 306-772-0471, or send an email to brad.woods@sasktel.net.
