As the weather is continuing to warm up, southwest football players and fans are gearing up for a new season of their favourite sport.

Registrations have just opened up for the third year of Swift Current Minor Football's spring camp which is set to run from May 27 - May 31 with a game on June 1.

Tyson Congdon, Swift Current Minor Football president, is eagerly anticipating another great turnout for the opportunity to help kids build their football skills.

"This will be our third year that we've held our spring camp here in Swift Current," said Congdon. "We had good reception so we're holding another one this year."

The camp is open for athletes who will fall into either U12 or U14 categories this coming season or students who will be going into grade nine this coming fall.

"The only thing they need is cleats, Swift Current Minor Football provides all the other equipment," Congdon said. "We make sure that we provide all the kids the equipment they need to stay safe."

Interested parties can visit the SCMF website for more information and register at the top left.

"Looking forward to seeing as many people out there as possible," concluded Congdon.
