A local registered dietician is inviting southwest residents to join Eat Well Live Well, a six-week program designed to nurture healthy relationships with food.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority’s health educator Anna Millman is excited to bring the initiative to Swift Current’s E. I. Wood Building.

“I think what really sets this group apart from other programs is that there can be a lot of guilt and shame associated with eating,” she said. “We really talk a lot about self-care and self-compassion.”

Topics that the group will discuss include factors that affect weight, mindful eating, nutrients for health, label reading, meal planning, and more.

Participants will work and learn to improve their relationship with their body and food every Thursday evening from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the first installment coming up this week.

After completing the program, a monthly support group will be available online for continued support.

Registration is required and space is limited. For more information, questions, or to register for Eat Well Live Well, call Anna at 306-778-5445 or email anna.millman@saskhealthauthority.ca
