In the August 12 daily COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority, they are reporting five new cases of the virus in the province.

The new cases are located in Regina, where there are four, and in the North Central Zone where there is one.

This brings the provincial total to 1,484. Of that 1,484 there are 150  that are considered active.

They add that the location of one case is pending.

In the South West Zone there are 20 active cases reported.

There have been a total of 20 recoveries today, bringing that provincial total to 1,314.

There are ten people in hospital. Five people are receiving inpatient care-3 in Saskatoon, 1 in Regina and 1 in t he South Central Region. Five people are in intensive care - 3 in Saskatoon, 1 in the North Central Region, and 1 in the South West.

The reported deaths to date from COVID-19 remain at 20.

To date, 115,004 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province.

And yesterday 1,032 tests were performed in Saskatchewan.
