In the February 10 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 180 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 180 new cases there are 22 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North Central zone, 3 in the Far North East zone, 17 in the North West zone, 19 in the North Central zone, 2 in the North East zone, 43 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 5 in the Central East zone, 58 in the Regina zone, 4 in the South East zone, and 1 in the South Central zone.

There are 4 new cases with pending residence information.

Six pending residence cases have been assigned as follows - 3 to the Far North East zone, 1 to the Far North West zone, 1 to North West zone, and 1 to the North East zone.

That brings the provincial total number of cases of COVID-19 to 25,843, of which 1,968 are considered active.

There are currently 3 active cases in the South West zone - 2 in the South West 1 zone, and 1 in the South West  2  zone.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 201 (16.4 new cases per 100,000 population).

Two Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. The deaths were reported in the Saskatoon zone - one individual in the 70-79 age group, and one was in the 80+ age group.

That brings the total number of deaths in the province related to COVID-19 to 348.

There were 245 recoveries, bringing that provincial total to  23,527.

There are 196 people in hospital. One hundred and sixty-eight are receiving inpatient care - 5 in the Far North West zone,1 in the Far North East zone, 19 in the North West zone, 24 in the North Central zone, 1 in the North East zone, 59 in the Saskatoon zone, 10 in the Central East zone, 45 in the Regina zone, 1 in the South Central zone, and 3 in the South East zone.

There are 28 people in intensive care - 2 in the North West zone, 2 in the North Central zone, 10 in the Saskatoon zone, 3 in the Central East zone, and 10 in the Regina zone.

There is currently 1 person in intensive care in the South West zone.

To date, there have been 533,179 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday. there were 2,353 tests processed.

There were 638 vaccine doses administered yesterday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 45,371.

With this, 102% of the doses received have been administered to date. This overage is due to efficiencies in drawing extra doses from vials of vaccine received.

The next Pfizer shipment of 1,950 doses is expected to arrive on Thursday February 11 in Prince Albert.
