In the February 3 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 194 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 194 new cases there are 11 in the Far North West zone, 2 in the Far North Central zone, 6 in the Far North East zone, 26 in the North West zone, 10 in the North Central zone, 8 in the North East zone, 49 in the Saskatoon zone,  1 in the Central West zone, 5 in the Central East zone, and 62 in the Regina zone.

There is currently 1 new case in the South West zone, and 7 in the South East zone.

There are 6 new cases pending residence information.

One case pending residence information has been assigned to the Far North West zone.

That brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in Saskatchewan to 24,430, of which 2,254 are considered active.

There are currently 9 active cases in the South West zone. One new active case is in the South West 2 zone, which is Swift Current and area. There are 8 active cases in the South West 1 zone, which includes Webb, Gull Lake, Tompkins, Maple Creek, Eastend, Shaunavon,  Frontier and areas.

There is an outbreak status in the South Central zone at the Assiniboia Union Hospital. In non-household settings, an outbreak is confirmed two or more people test positive for COVID-19.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 233 (19.1 new cases per 100,000 population).

There were 252 recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 21,854.

Eight Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. One reported death was in the 40-49 age group in the Regina zone, one reported death was in the 60-69 age group in the Regina zone, three reported deaths were in the 70-79 age group in the Central East zone (1), the Far North East zone (1), and the North West zone (1), and three reported deaths were in the 80+ age group in the Far North East zone (1), and the South East zone (2).

That brings the total number of deaths in the province related to COVID-19 to 322.

There are 185 people in hospital. One hundred and fifty-nine are receiving inpatient care -  5 in the Far North West zone,1 in the Far North East zone, 17 in the North West zone, 18 in the North Central zone, 2 in the North East zone, 58 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 12 in the Central East  zone, 42 in the Regina zone, 1 in the South Central zone, and 2 in the South East zone.

There are currently 26 people in intensive care - 1 in the North West zone, 1 in the North Central zone, 11 in the Saskatoon zone, 4 in the Central East zone, and 9 in the Regina zone.

To date, there has been 515,292 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 2,780 COVID-19 tests processed.

There were 177 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered yesterday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 35,763.

As of February 3, 109% of the doses received have been administered. This overage is due to efficiencies in drawing extra doses from vials of vaccine received..

Saskatchewan's Pfizer allocation for this week has arrived in Saskatoon (975 doses) and Prince Albert (1,950 doses). The allocations for North Battleford and Yorkton are scheduled to arrive by  the end of the day February 3.

Saskatchewan's Moderna allocation is scheduled to arrive by February 6.
