In the January 19 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority, they are reporting a total of 309 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 309 new cases there are 25 in the Far North West zone, 16 in the Far North Central zone, 18 in the Far North East zone, 29 in the North West zone, 30 in the North Central zone, 10 in the North East zone, 69 in the Saskatoon zone, 3 in the Central West zone, 19 in the Central East zone, and 43 in the Regina zone.

There are currently 3 new cases reported in the South West zone, and 19 in the South East zone.

There are 25 new cases that have pending residence information.

Seven cases with pending residence information have been assigned as follows - 1 to the Far North West zone, 1 to the North West zone, 4 to the North Central; zone, and 1 to the Regina zone.

That brings the provincial total number of COVID-19 cases to 20,871, of which 4,156 are considered active.

There are currently 16 active cases in the South West zone.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 300 (24.7 new cases per 100,000 population).

Six Saskatchewan residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. One reported death was in the 60-69 age group in the Central West zone, 5 new deaths in the 80+ age group were reported in the Regina zone (2) , in the Saskatoon zone (1), and in the South East zone (2).

That brings the total number of deaths in the province related to COVID-19 to 225.

There have been 412 recoveries reported today, bringing that provincial total to 16,490.

There are 207 people in hospital. One hundred and seventy-six are receiving inpatient care - 7 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North Central zone, 11 in the North West zone, 24 in the North Central zone, 9 in the North East zone, 56 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 10 in the Central East zone, and 45 in the Regina zone.

There is currently 1 person receiving inpatient care in the South West zone, 1 in the South Central zone, and 10 in the South East zone.

There are currently 31 people in intensive care - 3 in the North West zone, 4 in the North Central zone, 15 in the Saskatoon zone, 8 in the Regina zone, and 1 in the South Central zone.

To date, 476,533 COVID-19 tests have been processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 2,929 COVID-19 tests processed.

There were 1,957 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered yesterday in Saskatchewan. This brings the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 24,575.

The doses administered were in the following zones - 401 in the Regina zone, 688 in the Saskatoon zone, 36 in the North Central zone, 132 in the North West zone, 200 in the Far North East zone, 117 in the Central East zone, and  383 in the South East zone.

Another shipment of 2,925 doses of Pfizer vaccine will be arriving in Saskatchewan this week. This shipment will be divided between the Regina, Fort Qu'Appelle and North Battleford areas and used to continue vaccinating priority populations.
