In the July 21 COVID-19 Update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting 53 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 53 new cases there are 24 in the Far North West zone, 2 in the Far North Central zone, 2 in the Far North East zone, 9 in the North West zone, 1 in the North Central zone, 5 in the Saskatoon zone, 4 in the Regina zone, and 1 in the South Central zone.

There is 1 new case in the South West zone - located in the South West subzone 1.

There are 4 new cases with pending residence information.

One case was reassigned to the North Central zone.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 49,525, of which 276 are considered active.

There are 6 active cases in the South West zone - 2 in the South West subzone 1, and 4 in the South West subzone 2.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 30 (2.5 new cases per 100,000 population).

There are 19 recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 48,674.

There are no new deaths reported, leaving that provincial total at 575.

There are 59 people in the hospital. Forty-nine people are receiving inpatient care - 5 in the North West zone, 8 in the North Central zone, 18 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central East zone, 15 in the Regina zone, 1 in the South Central zone, and 1 in the South East zone.

There are 10 people in intensive care - 1 in the North West zone, 1 in the North Central zone, 4 in the Saskatoon zone, and 4 in the Regina zone.

To date, there has been 947,300 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday there were 1,683 COVID-19 tests processed.

No new lineage results were reported for variants of concern.

Of the 7,961 variants of concern cases with lineages identified by whole genome sequencing in the province, 7,027 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 505 are Delta (B.1.617.2), 419 are Gamma (P.1), and 10 are Beta (B.1.351).

An additional 5,413 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number administered to 1,358,720.

Of those 5,413 vaccine doses given, there were 119 administered in the South West zone.

Seventy-four percent of those 12 and over have received their first vaccine dose, and 60% of those 12 and over are fully vaccinated.
