In the September 27 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 398 new confirmed cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 398 new confirmed cases there are 19 in the Far North West zone, 14 in the Far North East zone, 32 in the North West zone, 43 in the North Central zone, 16 in the North East zone, 147 in the Saskatoon zone, 17 in the Central West zone, 18 in the Central East zone, 32 in the Regina zone, 7 in the South Central zone, and 13 in the South East zone.

There are 23 new confirmed cases reported in the South West zone - 10 in the South West subzone 1 (Shaunavon and area), and 13 in the South West subzone 2 (Swift Current and area).

There are 17 new cases with pending residence information.

Nineteen cases with pending residence information have been reassigned as follows - 1 to the Far North West zone, 7 to the North West zone, 5 to the North Central zone, 2 to the Saskatoon zone, and 4 to the Regina zone. 

Two cases have been deemed to be non-Saskatchewan residents and removed from the Saskatoon zone.

Nearly one-third (32.4%) of the new cases are in the 20-39 age category.

One in six (16.4%) new cases eligible for vaccination (12 years and older) were fully vaccinated.

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 65,897, of which 4,788 are considered active.

There are 244 active cases in the South West zone - 87 in the South West subzone 1, and 157 in the South West subzone 2.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 461 (38.3 new cases per 100,000 population).

Of the 11,634 variants of concern cases identified by whole genome sequencing in Saskatchewan, 7,123 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 10 are Beta (B.1.351), 484 are Gamma (P.1), and 4,017 are Delta (B.1.617.2).

There are 470 recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 60,437.

There were 2 new deaths reported, bringing that provincial total to 672.

There are 289 people in the hospital -  226 receiving inpatient care, and 63 in intensive care.

Of the 287 patients eligible for vaccination, 225 (78.4%) were not fully vaccinated.

To date, there has been a total of 1,121,821 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 3,779 COVID-19 tests processed.

There were 2,510 COVID-19 vaccinations given in the province yesterday, with 70 of those administered in the South West zone.

That brings the total number of vaccines given to 1,548,690.

There are 730,171 people who are fully vaccinated in the province.
